Adopt a Mastiff (short coat)

Mastiff (short coat) Dog

Moqui the Dog needs a home

Moqui takes his name from the cave where he was found. He was picked up by local animal control and came to Best Friends when no one claimed him. He is an absolute love bug and the perfect mix between active and snuggly. Moqui is also a calm, loving boy who has been great with other dogs at the Sanctuary. He enjoys long walks and has great leash manners.Moqui is shy and fearful with strangers. He has shown some barrier reactivity and can be a little nervous with new people coming up to his fence or gate. However, he has done well with Dogtown volunteers after meeting them on a walk. He warms up very quickly and just wants love, attention and snuggles.Born in 2013, Moqui is currently being treated for heartworm disease. He is also working with his caregivers on getting comfortable with seeing people through a fence or gate. Overall, Moqui has been a well-behaved boy who wants nothing more than to snuggle with people and be loved on.
